Dec 9: You Know You’re a Health Foodie When…
Caroline at Caroline Dines says:
YOU KNOW YOU’RE A HEALTH FOODIE WHEN…
“…you plan the next meal before you have finished eating the one before you.”
Just the other day I was out to lunch at a pizza place with about 10 of my girlfriends and we started talking about what we were craving for dinner. Here we are stuffing our faces with 4 deliciously large pizzas, yet we still can’t stop thinking about how to make our next meal even better.
While I’m a big believer in taking the time to savor every bite of the food in front of you (instead of being distracted), there are other times when “foodie talk” at the table is absolutely necessary….I wouldn’t have it any other way
How about you? Do you take a break when eating your meals—or do you find yourself eating at your desk, in front of your computer, while watching TV, etc.?
Happy Wednesday everyone…and if there’s snow where you are: 1) be safe if you’re driving on the roads or exercising outside 2) go sledding!
What was your favorite thing to do on a “snow day” growing up?
[Keep on sending in those “You Know You’re a Health Foodie When…” moments to me at kristen@simplysavor.com !]

Oh that is so true! We loved to play outside. I wish I had a snow day now!
I am loving all of these! I am so bad about eating while doing other things, I am such a multi-tasker!
…i am eating cereal while typing this…
sooo true!! i really need to take more time to make sure i am savoring the meal i am currently eating!!!!
ughhhhh boston is a big mess today! too much rain/snow/slush ickiness!! makes me wish i was in calli or fl right now!!!
I use to eat in calm environments, but now I know my body so well it doesn’t matter where I eat.
I grew up in Texas… no snow days… ever…
haha, i always wake myself up dreaming of what to eat for breakfast! planning the next meal is always a fun foodie activity :O)
Yey! I am on your lovely blog! Thanks! I totally need to focus on savoring my meals more but like you said sometimes foodie talk is absolutely necessary!
So guilty of this! Always thinking of the next food adventure, most people just don’t get it but it’s so true of us foodies!
Guilty of this one, I’m doing that as I eat away and take pics. ”what can I do to make this meal better next time” lol
Great blog
I too am guilty! I try and eat slowly and savour my meals – but usually I end up eating while catching up on other things.
Snow Days = Snow fort building for me and my sis!
I bought I funny book yesterday that I thought that you would appreciate…”How to be a better Foodie.”
It’s pretty cute. I’m still reading my way through, but it’s pretty funny so far.
Wow my family does this all the time. We love talking about food!!! I mean how can you not
with so much good food out there nowadays! I have never really experience a true snow day… though I am not complaining. I
hahahah so true! love this!! i always eat in front of my comp while watching a show online or reading blogs :/
I try really hard to sit at the table and focus on the food that I’m eating BUT sometimes I can’t help myself and I multi-task for sure!
I usually take a break to read a fun book while I eat my meals. I live alone, and the lack of dinner conversation can be a bit boring! Plus, it’s one of the few times I can justify reading a fun book instead of working on school stuff (the other justifiable time is while working out!).
i think about food all the time so much so i dream about it. i think i just did when i was napping! lol
hahaha SO true!
i love these lists… you make me smileeeeeeee!
I do think about ways to make things while I’m cooking, or eating other meals.
