Ahh I can’t believe the Healthy Living Summit is finally here! I’ve been looking forward to this for months now.

I had some last minute packing to do (actually I just started this morning!)  So I’ve got things thrown all over my bed trying to get organized.

Here’s a look at some of my must-haves for a healthy weekend getaway that I’ll be taking with me to Boston:

1. Healthy Non-Perishable Snacks:

-Teddie’s Unsalted Peanut Butter

-2 Larabars: Peanut Butter Cookie and Chocolate Coconut Chew

-2 apples

-BearNaked Banana Nut granola cereal

–2 Raw Revolution Bars: Cashew & Agave Nectar and Chocolate & Coconut (this one became my grab and go breakfast dipped in peanut butter—classy I know but I was in a rush!)

2. Reading material

-Just finishing up Julie & Julia (i love it, I don’t want to finish it!)

Just need to finish packing up clothes, shoes, toiletries, chargers, bake sale goodies…hope I’m not missing anything else!  Then heading for a quick walk at the beach with my mom, shower, and then hitting the road.  Hope I don’t hit rush hour!

Have fun! So jealous – wish I was going to the HLS. When I travel I always bring my workout gear and a resistance band to do some toning. Also apples, homemade trail mix, bars, nuts. Safe travels – look forward to hearing about it!

Have fun, Kristen! Sounds like you’ll have an awesome weekend!

My must-have essential is not necessarily categorized as “healthy”, but I always make sure to have EXTRA CASH on hand!! You never know…my junior year of college I had to fork over an extra $20 for a registration fee for a trip…and then I got stuck in the airport overnight with no money for food (didn’t have an ATM card at the time), and I got very sick for the next two weeks! Very silly, but you live and learn! So extra $$$ is always on my list now in case I have to take a taxi, etc. :)

Melissa-talons of fury! (I went to BC for my first semester after Hurricane Katrina closed down my school) BC was so amazing to us so I have to show my BC pride :)

Enjoy your trip!!! Wish I could go! So what is teddie’s peanut butter…where do you get it?

My essentials for healthy traveling are very similiar to yours; workout gear, larabars (and various other food), bottled water, music, something to read….I love to travel…

    Have fun!

Hi Lainie! I just found Teddie’s recently actually and loved it! I’ve seen it in my local Stop and Shop or ShopRite usually. THe only ingredient is Roasted Peanuts which I love, it has a great texture. If you try it, let me know what you think!

Oh, you’re going to have such a good time this weekend!! Can’t wait to read all about it :)
What kind of heart rate monitor do you use? I am looking into getting one, but don’t know which one to buy!
Have fun packing and a safe trip to Boston!!!

Megan-I’m using the Polar F7 which is great..and I had to get it in pink! ;) But Garmin has one thats supposed to be really good, and a little more in depth, so you might want to look into that too. Good luck!

I watched HLS today and it looked like a really good time. Congrats on winning a prize.

My must-haves when I travel are Larabars & chocolate chips and my water bottle. I don’t know what I’d do without it.

Kaytee–the HLS was awesome. I was wondering how the livestream was coming out, so i’m glad it was working. I guess starting Simply Savor the week before the summit was worth it for the free bag filled with popchips that i won haha
