Introducing the “You Know You’re a Health Foodie When…” December Series!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I know I did…lots of relaxing, going into New York City, spending time with family and friends, and eating tons of great food. I looove leftovers, so I definitely enjoyed getting creative with my favorite Thanksgiving eats for the few days after the big feast. Let’s just say there was lots of Stuffin’ Muffin action going on, Leftover Turkey and Cranberry Sandwiches, and of course…Cranberry Sauce + Trailmix Oatmeal (thanks ladies for the great ideas!)

So a few weeks ago, I had the best time reading all of your comments asking you to fill in the blank “You Know You’re a Foodie When…” Your stories were awesome and so fun to read, and made me wish we could all share our funny stories together.
And then I thought, well why not?!
So without further adieu, I present the Simply Savor “You Know You’re a HEALTH Foodie When…” series!
Just e-mail me kristen@simplysavor.com filling in the blank: You Know You’re a Health Foodie When ________.
Send as many ideas (with pictures if you’d like!), and feel free to get creative! Think of all the times you’ve had to stop and say to yourself, “only a foodie would do this/think that/ etc.”
Each week, I’ll feature my favorites on Simply Savor. Feel free to keep sending in your ideas as you think of them (even if you’ve sent some already) for more chances to be featured!
I have had so many “foodie moments” it’s scary
So here’s a taste to get you started:
- …you have more than 4+ jars of nut butter in your cabinet at all times
- …you find as many excuses to go to the grocery store during the week as possible
- …you have a different shape/color/designed oatmeal bowl for every day of the week
- …the first thing you research when traveling is “best restaurants in the area”
- …your idea of classic novels include “Mastering the Art of French Cooking” by Julia Child or “The American Century Cookbook” by Jane Austen Jean Anderson

I’m so excited about this new series and can’t wait to see what all you health foodies come up with!!
Not sure if you’re a foodie? Check out this article over at Slashfood called What is a foodie anyway? to see how you stack up.

Love this, Kristen!! Obviously I can relate entirely to all of your foodie moments–and I can’t wait to think some up!
Great post! I’m still not convinced I’m a foodie…
I’m a kick ass baker… does that count?
of course it counts! any bad ass baker is a foodie to me!
Oh my gosh. I love this idea. I am already thinking of great things to send to you.
…when you spend at least half an hour a day looking at different recipes.
…when your boyfriend has an intervention with you about the amount of time you spend at a grocery store. And the number of grocery stores you go to in a week.
Haha. I love it.
i
haha, I love these. Yeah I’m a foodie!
I wouldn’t mind the word so much if it didn’t make me sound like a little girl excited about some boy band (or I guess a really, juicy burger in this case). I’m pretty guilty of the grocery shopping thing though. It’s a bad (and expensive) habit!
I’m having a giveaway on the blog so make sure you enter!
I adore leftover turkey sandwiches!
Hey Kristen! Thanks for the Stuffin Muffin shoutout!
